Yesterday, nothing went the way I wanted it to. And I soon gave up trying, since nothing was going right. But this morning, as I was scrubbing the wooden slats on the garden decking, I almost felt as though I were washing away the accumulated dust from my mind.
I scrubbed until the slats looked nice and clean enough for me, soaking up the early morning sun, announcing a beautiful day ahead.
The good thing today is that I’ve made lemon biscuits dipped in chocolate. I think that was the best this pretty start to the day had to offer.
It’s not a bad thing, but I’m still in limbo. I haven’t quite recovered from yesterday’s chaos, and I’m not quite ready to get back on track yet.
As always, there’s no real point to me posting here, other than to share my day-to-day life and perhaps to reach someone who’s just passing by this blog and is feeling the same way I am right now, so that person might realise we’re in the same boat. Sometimes it’s comforting to know that. Come on, let's make the most of the sunshine for a bit longer.
